Nickel
Nickel is the long standing goat in our herd. She was born in June of 2013, and we purchased her and her sister, Penny, in the fall of 2013. She gave birth to a single doe in the spring of 2015, triplet doelings in 2016, and triplets (1 doeling, 2 bucklings) in 2017, twins in 2018, twins in 2019, triplets in 2020, and twins in 2021. At peak production, she gives a gallon a day. Nickel also has longevity - she keeps producing milks months after she has kids. She has VERY large teats, which is a desirable characteristic when hand milking. She's just our gal who's never left us down! Despite the fact that she has no papers, she a solid, healthy goat who is the foundation and queen of our herd.
