Week 7 pictures are always the most challenging to capture all that puppy cuteness. Due to the puppy's wanting to run and play instead of sit, I end up with lot up photos like this... So, when the photo shoot isn't going well, give out belly rubs (Holly) and hugs (Misty)... The puppies are growing and changing. They are all approaching 3lbs, except little Strawberry who is 2lbs 7oz. They are completely weaned and eating dry puppy food. Since Cocoa spends very little time with them, it was time for their first bath today. (In the previous weeks, Cocoa has kept them clean, but now it is our turn.) The first bath is usually the easiest because they are too shocked to respond. Though they didn't enjoy it, they now smell of mango & kiwi and are clean & fluffy. I also gave them their first brushing. Below are two pictures of the bathing process - Jake getting soaped up and Strawberry getting rinsed. After the bath, they get cuddled in a towel & misted with bath fresh scent. The pictures are Jake, Holly, Strawberry, Violet, and Misty. To wrap up my post this week, I will share my all time favorite photos from this past week - a litter pose of the puppies all politely sharing their bed. And, yes, Holly is there! She is sleeping on her back. This is my last post for this litter. Thank-you for following their growth from birth to 7 weeks. At 8 weeks, they begin going to their new families. To our new puppy families, please be in contact with any last minute questions or issues you want to discuss. We are looking forward to you picking up your little package of joy and puppy kisses soon!

6 weeks old and FULL of life! The puppies are at a fun, playful stage. They spend less time sleeping these days and more time playing with their siblings. They also enjoy any new toys that we put in their play area. They are now eating puppy chow soaked in milk. Over the next week, we will transition to dry food.
We are looking forward to their upcoming visit to our vet on July 12, 2016. We will be in touch with each new family after their visit to let you know how it went. One fun picture to wrap up my post today - Misty enjoying a belly rub. Remember to scroll way down on their individual pages for the most recent photos! |
