Today I bring you a video update on Tachi's puppies.  View the video here.  You'll see one alert puppy in the middle of the pile - that's Liza.  One time a service technician came into our home while we had a litter of puppies.  He marveled again and again that I could tell them apart without collars.  I told him there are ways (a white patch here and white toe there), and I have to make sure I have ways before putting collars on them because collars fall off.  Some of these puppies are hard to distinguish from each other, but we handle them often and learn to see their subtle differences.  I choose not to put collars on them until a few weeks old for safety reasons.

We feel blessed at this Christmas season to introduce to you a beautiful litter of puppies from Tachi and Cooper.  They were born on December 13, 2021, and they will be ready to charm their new families on February 7, 2022.

There are 2 boys and 6 girls.  Around our kitchen table this week, we gathered to give these precious puppies names.  We choose each one with thought; always assigning at least one a name from the Bible to honor God as the creator of life.  This time, many are biblical names from the Christmas story.  Click on each puppy's picture above for more pictures and the story behind his/her name.

Three of the girl puppies are salt and pepper; the rest of the litter are black and silver.  (For a detailed explanation and pictures of the difference, see my past blog here.)  Of the puppies, the difference between the two colorings is most obvious in Eleanor (black & silver) and Mary (salt & pepper).

Tachi and the puppies are doing absolutely fabulous.  Tachi's delivery went well, and she's a contented, calm mother.  We take the best care of her feeding her nutritious food and keeping her whelping area fresh and clean.  The puppies are thriving and gaining weight.  Every time I gently pick them up, their little bellies are round and full!

I plan to post pictures and videos as the puppies grow.  I do not plan to post weekly as I have with other litters, but check back often for new updates here!
