A Trip to the Vet
Our puppies went to the vet today to get their health certificates. All the puppies passed the health examination with no problems! In addition, they were very well behaved at the vet - no whining or barking at all. It helps to have 7 brothers and sisters to snuggle with for comfort!
We also weighed and dewormed the puppies again today.
Now is a great time to schedule your puppy's first vet check. We require in our "Puppy Contract" that you see a licensed veterinarian within 10 business days of purchasing your puppy. Our vet (Animal Health Care of Myerstown) offers one free office visit (a $49 value) to you. This offer will be noted on the health certificate you receive. We will provide all your puppy's records to take along to his/her first visit. Your vet may or may not administer shots at the first visit. We will give your puppy his/her first round of shots at 7 weeks. Typically, puppies receive shots every 2-3 weeks up until 16 weeks of age, but please consult your veterinarian for his/her recommendations.
