Sheerah's 2022 Puppies ~ 2 Weeks Old

We are snuggled down against the elements today with our litter of puppies! Our area has several inches of snow and high winds after a delightfully warm spring day yesterday.

When I went to film the video clip for today, I came upon this:

I had to share because it was adorable, but also because it shows the natural way in which are puppies are socialized. When the puppies are older, I purposefully expose them to various things - umbrellas, hats, etc. However, here it happened already without any effort on my part. Though I have no idea why EJ decided to hold a puppy with a cowboy hat on, I'm delighted the puppies are already getting gentle, early socialization.

This week, I'm going to share a short video clip of the puppies with you. (Note: The little whiny noise you hear near the beginning is not the puppies; it was Sheerah shoving her head between me and my device trying to get in the recording and see what's going on with her babies.)

Thanks, Kim! We're super excited Lena is going to be joining your family. MJ, my daughter, asks a lot about Lena's new family. MJ takes her job very seriously in loving all the puppies, but especially Miss Lena!

Hi Lorraine! Wow, yes, it's hard to be Sadie is approaching 7!! Yes, the children have certainly grown since then. AJ measures himself up almost daily to see if he's taller than me! So great to have you with us all these years later :)

Thank you Vanessa for the video, and thank you EJ for showing the puppies that awesome hat. It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it, right? ;)

It's is really neat to watch the pups squirming at this age, as it is something so few people get a chance to see!

As always, we appreciate all the work that goes into raising such happy, healthy pups, and also your allowing us a glimpse of this adorable process!!
